Makeup artist and makeup educator Lagsa Prassanna is excited to announce the opening and registration of her makeup school in France.

Lagsa Prassanna, a 33-year-old celebrity makeup artist and skincare expert, has recently announced the opening and registration of her makeup training school, PL Makeup Academy, in France. She is excited to share her skincare and makeup tips with other makeup enthusiasts, especially for brown and darker skin tones.
“Because our community has so many competitions, we must always work hard. I'm not lazy; I wake up early, plan my day, and am well organized. Of course, my husband is very supportive. My younger sister Lavanya is also in the makeup industry; we travel and work together,” says Lagsa.
Lagsa's cosmetic career began after an incident in her life. She never saw herself doing makeup or working in the beauty industry. Even at age 20, Lagsa states that her sister had to assist her with eyeliner. Lagsa claims thatwanted to invest in herself, she saved her money and enrolled in a cosmetics school. "I didn't feel very confident, but with practice on myself, I gained confidence."
Since its inception, PL Makeup Academy's mission has been to empower women to feel their most confident and beautiful. Lagsa seeks to motivate ladies to include a little glitz into their daily routines while still caring for their skin. The essence of PL Makeup Academy is that makeup is powerful, a confidence booster, and a fun form of self-care.
"In 2019, I began offering free online makeup classes to women with financial difficulties, widowed ladies, young ladies without parental support, and helped others through charity," Lagsa explains. "I founded PL Makeup Academy to provide a space where women of all ages and walks of life can learn a few simple makeup tips and skincare routines to boost their inner self-confidence."
Lagsa was born in Sri Lanka and has been a resident of France for over fifteen years. She is particularly proud of becoming the first Sri Lankan woman to start and previously register a cosmetics school in France. Lagsa studied Bioscience before enrolling in cosmetics classes and graduating from Makeup Forever in Paris. Working as a makeup artist and product expert at Mac Cosmetics, Lagsa launched PL Makeup Academy France.
Since 2018, Lagsa has offered many masterclasses in France for her community of Sri Lankans and Indians. This year, she’s held two masterclasses in India with over 200 students and plans to hold more in the future. Lagsa intends to host makeup classes in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, London, and Germany.
“I began hosting classes in a small room. I had only two students. I came from humble beginnings and am proud of all my accomplishments,” she added.
Lagsa Prassana is a sought-after celebrity makeup artist who has worked with some of South India's most well-known movie stars, including Aishwarya Rajesh, Inthuja Ravichandran, Yashika Annand, DD Neelakandan, and many more in Chennai, India.
