As Austin TX becomes more submerged into the Tech opportunities, we can clearly see the city becoming the next silicon valley. With that evolution taking place, if you pay attention, you can see how tech is fusing with all the everyday tasks, jobs and lifestyles.
BOSS [MOVEMENT] in collaboration with _OF COLOR ATX and Austin Fashion Incubator, saw this as an opportunity to introduce how tech is adding to the fashion world. We have provided a platform for designers to connect with tech and evolve their designs all while creating the best creative tech experience for our audience.
This year we are looking to give a futuristic look on our runway, The Meta-Fashion Show. We will be incorporating a Metaverse experience and other aspects of the tech industry into our show. These elements include, but are are not limited to;
– Augmented Reality Fashion Pieces
– CNC Printed and 3D Printed Designs
– NFT Designs for purchase
– Virtual Reality Try On Looks
Augmented Reality: Merge cubes will be placed in a designated area where patrons are able to use their mobile devices to view
NFT displays. This technology is supported by Innovative System’s Limited; INNOSPACE.
CNC + 3D Printed Designs:
Custom designed and printed by sponsors INNOSPACE, CNC Printed accessories will be worn on models for patrons to interact with. There is also a 3D Printed clothing line for the runway segment of the show.
AR/VR and the Metaverse:
A Metaverse based club, created and designed by Nightz VR, decked out with virtual stalls of the show’s runway designers will be placed throughout the club metaverse.
Patrons will be given a VR headset on entry and once turned on, they will enter into Nightz VR metaverse club. Patrons will then be able to interact with the designer stalls developed into the club. Another aspect of the VR headset experience for patrons will be an up close and personal, fully immersive, 3D fashion runway show developed and designed by Austin Fashion Incubator students. The Show ends with a 3D clothing line reveal followed by a networking soiree for all persons to meet with each other after the show.
