Sonic Automotive board shelves IPO for EchoPark used-car franchise

Sonic Automotive Inc.’s board of directors will not spin off the EchoPark used-car franchise as a separate public company for now, finding the current stock market and used-car supply shortages discouraging for an initial public offering.
