ATLANTA - March 10, 2022 - Red Room Podcast Network today announced the launch of Under the Hood, a podcast hosted by renowned sportscaster Bob Rathbun. On the debut episode of Under the Hood, Bob Rathbun talks with Barrett Dungy about his road to success and the challenges along the way.
Barrett Dungy is a famous personality in the entertainment industry. His passion and primary focus continue to be creating distribution opportunities for diverse filmmakers across the country. Dungy has served as executive producer on several projects and for decades has worked tirelessly to elevate the footprint of urban comedians to multiple platforms. Dungy was involved with brand-building and identifying distribution opportunities for some of the biggest names/brands in the business including Tyler Perry, Kevin Hart, Lil Rel Howery, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, Big Black Comedy Show, and one of the top-grossing comedy arena acts of all time, Kings of Comedy. His diverse cultural films and first-rate television programming are considered some of the best in the U.S.
Dungy leads two dynamic organizations, Urban Home Entertainment (UHE) and Faithwerks. UHE was established in 2001 and caters to the television and the entertainment industry. The company provides its viewers with unique faith-based Latin films and shows on stand-up comedy. Faithwerks, established in 2008, offers motion films, television films, and musical films. Many of the films produced by Barrett Dungy’s companies have received the highest accolades and earned platinum status for record-breaking distribution. Dungy is passionate about finding and showcasing new talent, protecting the rights of artists, and continuing his legacy of breaking barriers with his son Trae.
Under the Hood will feature Rathbun in candid conversations that dig deep into the passions and personal stories of guests using three guiding questions: 1) What’s the best advice ever received, 2) What strategies and strengths did you rely on to get over the hump? and 3) What advice would you give to someone who wants to walk a similar path or do what you do? These conversations go beyond the facts to reveal stories of struggle, grit, and triumph.
With the support of Red Room Podcast Network, 10 episodes will be released from early March 2022. “Launching this podcast is very exciting,” said Rathbun. “I love telling stories. Stories connect us and make us feel like we are part of something bigger than ourselves. The Under the Hood podcast will highlight leaders from all walks of life and unpack their stories of personal and professional success. Having the opportunity to learn from others and hear their stories of resilience and growth is another aspiration realized.”
Along with inspiring conversations with guests, the podcast series will also feature episodes with Rathbun talking directly to listeners, audience Q&As, and live events.
Under the Hood launches today, March 11, 2022, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, RADIO.COM, and everywhere podcasts are available. Listen to the first episode and subscribe to the series on their website. New episodes of Under the Hood will be available on March 18th and March 25th. Beginning March 11, 2022, new episodes will be available on Fridays.
