A survivor of sexual and physical abuse as well as other tragic events, Amanda has first-hand experience and ability to overcome traumas and addictions that hamper people's potential.
"My partner, Blake Cohen, and I run an organization called Next Level Recovery Associates Inc. Our goal with the organization is to help fill the many gaps that are oftentimes left by traditional treatment models or therapeutic interventions. We offer our clients substance use disorder interventions, recovery, family, and life coaching, case management services, public speaking and education services regarding substance use and mental health, sober companion and transport services, and more! Our goal is to help the entire family system reach the next level in their lives while offering support, accountability, guidance, and expertise. We have a large team that can help us address the various individual needs of our unique clients," Amanda remarks.
Amanda had to work hard to get to where she is today. Her business was not a result of luck or something that happened overnight. Instead, Amanda had spent a decade working in the behavioral health world and wanted to make a change, so she began studying and working hard to make it happen.
"I have worked in the behavioral health space for a decade. I worked on the business end for many years after starting in the field, working hands-on with clients. I missed being able to witness the miracles of the healing process. I began my education, certifications, mentoring and training years before starting Next Level Recovery Associates with Blake Cohen. I contracted under a number of companies who offer the services, learning the proper way to do things. Blake and I wanted to add our own ideas and experience to the space. We saw the need for the next generation to step up, learn from the best in the business and create something of our own. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, communication, skill sets that compliment one another and going the extra mile to assure the proper plan for our clients. I love being able to help others find hope, make their dreams come true and heal the relationship with themselves and others in their life. There are so many moving pieces to this, and we take our time to address each situation, bring in the right professionals and create an impact that changes lives," Amanda explains.
For her, mindset was everything. It helped her get through the difficult times and the training that she needed to get done in order to go on with her vision and dream.
"Mindset is everything. There were many times when I was scared to leave my 6 figure secure job, with benefits, as a mom and wife. I went through all of those emotions. I walked through them, talked to my support system and did not let fear stop me from going after my dreams. I took my time to learn, grow, prepare, manifest and went for it. I could not deny the passion inside of me. My dreams were calling me deep in my soul. I knew I had to follow through. I have to do my own work on myself to be in this line of work. I actually need to do extra to be able to best serve my clients. We can't give away what we don't have. I keep my focus and vision clear, I stay committed, walk through bumps in the road and pivot when needed. My partner, Blake and I have a supportive partnership and share the same vision," Amanda states.
Amanda is planning on doing what she does best and continuing on assisting people on their road to recovery. However, in 2021, she hopes to expand her business even further by adding more people and bringing their treatment to the next level.
"We are growing our brand, team, services, protocols and putting cutting edge systems in place to take Next Level to global level. We are working on being more accessible to the public eye and grow our online business. We want to grow our companion and coaching team, train them and become more management as owners. We will still be involved in our cases, just in different capacities. We want to grow the Next Level brand, while maintaining its concierge approach and its delicate attention to detail. Our brand, reputation, and professionalism are at the core focus of our growth plan. We want to be on tv, in the press, and be more visible in a creative way to be able to help more people," Amanda says.
