Major Zulu's musical path started in gospel churches in Zambia before she moved to the United Kingdom, where she developed recognition for her vocal abilities. The singer spent formative years in Paris, France, where she developed her artistic voice by absorbing the city's cultural atmosphere.

Her music delivers earthy vocals, memorable melodies, and story-driven lyrics that address personal history, social themes, and historical moments. She weaves together narratives about her father's democracy activism in Zambia with observations from Parisian jazz culture and her Australian life.

"Major Zulu invites you to shed the everyday and immerse yourself in her incredible soulful journey," said a representative from Safire Rose Music, the event organizer. "Her earthy vocal tones, timeless songs, and artful storytelling transform every performance into an emotional experience. Whether you're looking to laugh, cry, or simply get lost in a moment, her music offers a profound sense of connection and reflection."

Women in Pop Magazine described the artist as "a captivating performer who oozes charisma" with "a singular talent to draw you into her world," adding that "her music is like a warm hug with lyrics that tell intriguing stories paired with a voice that's always commanding your attention."

This will be Major Zulu's first performance at The Concourse Lounge. She'll perform with an ensemble of Sydney-based jazz and soul musicians who contribute to her signature sound. Both premium and cabaret seating are available.

The vocalist has performed at major events including the Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Vineyards, and Art Gallery NSW. Her recent appearances include a sold-out show at Foundry 616 in December 2024 and Vivid LIVE 2025. She has shared stages with artists such as Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
