All five of the venue's striking ballrooms recently played host to Delta Sigma Theta's Greensboro Alumnae Chapter, showcasing the high-end design touches and event facilitation that the venue offers.

Meridian Convention Center's Barcelona Ballroom provides 12,000 square feet of floor space, capable of hosting 200 to 615 guests in a banquet-style arrangement. The recent Sorority celebration used this space to entertain 600 guests for the evening reception. The smaller Madrid Ballroom was used to sell the Chapter's merchandise while the Seville accommodated 400 people for the induction ceremony. This variety of rooms makes Meridian a unique proposition for special events with connected venues that help these types of celebrations run smoothly.
The main hallway of the center - dressed in elegant red carpet - was used to welcome guests to the event, with a photo booth placed at the end in front of a custom-made backdrop. The Meridian team designed and installed all of the decorations, including lighting and table dressings.
The center also sources and supplies audio and video equipment which the Sorority made use of, with the Meridian team setting up and tearing down all of the necessary apparatus for the day. Other services provided included stage decorations, up-lighting, both long and round tables as well as all of the linens. Gold Chivari chairs were also provided for the event.
Meridian has an open vendor policy, allowing clients to invite their preferred caterers and entertainment, but can provide a list of recommended providers if needed. Each ballroom has a dedicated prep kitchen complete with a fridge-freezer and a microwave. The Barcelona Ballroom also has a private restroom and dressing room.
Chandeliers adorn the ballrooms' ceilings for a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic, with additional LED lighting that is dimmable to control the ambiance. Large groups appreciate the center's ample car parking facilities, convenient location, and stewarding and security services.
