LOKLiK, a well-known player in the DIY industry, recently announced its participation in World Environment Day through social service events partnered with Nasbid Morales, the acclaimed content creator, at Telesecundaria, a non-profit educational institution in Mexico. The theme of World Environment Day 2024 is "Our Land, Our Future; We Are the Restoration Generation," which aims to raise awareness of soil and environmental protection.
Following this year's theme, LOKLiK and Nasbid Morales jointly designed and held highly impactful and engaging activities lasting 12 days. These events sought to enhance youngsters' consciousness and encourage tangible steps toward environmental protection, underscoring LOKLiK's ongoing dedication to creating a greener, more sustainable society aligned with the ESG program.
To strengthen the education of natural resource preservation and waste classification, Nasbid led two enlightening and instructive lectures open to Telesecundaria students. She designed interactive and enjoyable games using LOKLiK's sublimation paper featuring vivid transfer results to teach the participants how to classify wastes correctly and effectively, enabling them to turn fresh-learned knowledge into practical life skills.
LOKLiK also organized an old clothes recycling workshop with its robust product portfolio, including the ace cutting machine LOKLiK Crafter™, diversified heat press machines, and premium crafting materials. Along with the highly-performed graphic editing software - LOKLiK IdeaStudio™, on-site students can design, cut out, and iron their creative ideas on the clothes in a breeze. Via this event, LOKLiK preached environmental sustainability and advocated reusing materials and reducing waste.
To further resonate with the ESG concept along the global celebration, LOKLiK organized a hands-on tree-planting activity to promote the importance of trees and environmental conservation. Such a campaign enriched the students' understanding and appreciation of nature while driving them to put the idea of preserving the ecosystem into concrete action.
