Intellipure, a leading provider of air purification solutions, is donating 1,000 Compact air purifiers to ShelterBox USA for distribution in Altadena, California. The donation will support residents impacted by the devastating Eaton Fire, which has significantly affected the community, particularly in economically disadvantaged areas.
Even after the fire is put out, indoor air quality can remain unhealthy for long periods of time. Issues such as fine particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), mold, chemical residues, and in some cases, asbestos and lead, can create serious health risks. These pollutants can lead to respiratory issues, eye & throat irritation, and other long-term health issues.
"Intellipure is committed to supporting communities in need, especially those affected by natural disasters," said Dan Phalen, HealthWay Chief Executive Officer. "We hope this donation of air purifiers will provide much-needed relief to Altadena residents and help improve their indoor air quality."
“ShelterBox USA has been supporting the immediate needs of people displaced by the catastrophic wildfires in partnership with Rotary Districts 5300 and 5280 to help the most vulnerable people affected. As a humanitarian organization that relies on private charitable support, we are grateful to Intellipure for the incredibly generous donation of air purifiers. These will be distributed to residents of Altadena as they begin their long road to recovery,” says Kerri Murray, President of ShelterBox USA.
