Bedrock Data Caps 2025 With $25 Million Series A, ArgusAI Launch and Executive Team Expansion

Modern DSPM and AI Governance Platform Solves Rising Enterprise Operational Priorities by Providing Comprehensive Data Visibility and Control

Bedrock Data, the AI-native platform for data security, governance and responsible AI, today announced a year of significant momentum. The company closed its $25 million Series A led by Greylock Partners, launched Bedrock Data ArgusAI to extend governance into AI systems, appointed experienced executives to accelerate go-to-market operations and received notable industry recognition for its breakthrough innovations in DSPM and AI governance. These milestones demonstrate growing enterprise demand for unified visibility, control and governance of data across its full lifecycle, spanning operational use, analytics and AI systems.

Throughout 2025, the market shifted from companies that were racing to deploy AI to those same companies asking how to govern the AI systems and agents already in use or planned for deployment. Most organizations today have minimal visibility into what data their AI systems use. According to Bedrock Data’s 2025 Enterprise Data Security Confidence Index, 82 percent of cybersecurity professionals report significant challenges in finding and classifying organizational data at a time when 60 percent of security teams have expanded their responsibilities to include AI governance. This is a significant challenge as regulatory bodies including the EU and SEC now require companies to document data used in high-risk AI systems.

“The data visibility problem, compounded by accelerating AI deployment, has moved from theoretical concern to operational priority, showing up in board meetings, regulatory inquiries and breach post-mortems,” said Bruno Kurtic, CEO and co-founder of Bedrock Data. “We’re seeing this shift firsthand in conversations with customers and enterprises among whom there is rapidly growing interest in the Bedrock Data platform. Heading into 2026, the priority is operationalizing governance at the data layer. Leaders need to build systems that maintain continuous visibility into their data sensitivity and exposure, trace how data moves through analytics and AI workflows and understand which models or agents interact with it. By grounding governance in the data itself, organizations turn oversight into a real-time capability rather than a periodic review.”

Enterprise Demand Drives Bedrock Data Innovations in AI Governance and DSPM

To help enterprises map model and agent data access end to end, across training and inference, and to validate guardrails to protect sensitive and regulated data, Bedrock Data launched ArgusAI and Natural Language Policy in November 2025. ArgusAI automatically creates a Data Bill of Materials (DBOM) that links AI models to their underlying datasets, performs guardrail gap analysis to evaluate whether controls prevent sensitive data use by AI models and enables natural language policy enforcement across data, identity and AI systems. The platform supports Amazon Bedrock Agents, ChatGPT Enterprise and other AI platforms.

In August 2025, Bedrock Data announced general availability of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, making it possible for agentic AI systems to access metadata context for autonomous governance. The company also rebranded from Bedrock Security to Bedrock Data, reflecting its evolution into a comprehensive platform for data visibility, governance and management.

“As AI moved from experimental to production, enterprises realized their existing tools cannot clearly account for what data trains models, what data models and agents can access during inference, or whether guardrails actually prevent sensitive data access,” said Pranava Adduri, CTO and co-founder of Bedrock Data. "ArgusAI addresses this by linking models and agents to their data and validating guardrail effectiveness, and creating targeted remediations. The MCP Server extends this governance into agentic AI systems, allowing policies to be enforced based on real data context. Together, they turn visibility into operational control across the entire AI lifecycle.”

Bedrock Data ArgusAI and MCP Server are powered by the company’s Metadata Lake technology that includes sensitivity, lineage, entitlements and usage patterns across on-premises, cloud, SaaS and AI environments.
