Shore Capital Partners Named to Inc.’s 2023 List of Founder-Friendly Investors

Annual roundup of founder-friendly investors features Shore for the fourth year in a row

Shore Capital Partners, (“Shore” or “Shore Capital”), a private equity firm focused on microcap investments, has been named one of Inc.’s Founder-Friendly Investors for the fourth consecutive year.

This year’s list honored private equity, venture capital and debt firms with the best track records of success backing entrepreneurs. Awardees are actively involved with the businesses they invest in and have earned the trust of the entrepreneurs they support to help drive growth.

“At Shore, our mission is to create an environment where the best people and companies soar. Our goal is that each founder and executive says partnering with Shore was the best professional decision they ever made. Being recognized for four straight years by Inc. is a testament to our reputation as a top choice for entrepreneurs and small- and medium-sized businesses seeking a growth partner,” said Justin Ishbia, Founder and Managing Partner at Shore.

Since its inception, Shore has rapidly grown its investment and operational support teams and invested in 57 unique platform companies, with an incremental 800-plus add on acquisitions. In 2023, 17 of the firm’s portfolio companies were named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Shore’s strategy is to help microcap businesses grow faster with less risk, through access to capital, world-class board and operational resources, and unmatched networking and development opportunities. A unique offering within the microcap market, Shore’s dedicated team of operating professionals provide resources to portfolio companies to de-risk decision making and accelerate growth, which is traditionally accessible only to mid- and large-cap companies.

“Now more than ever, founder-led companies need financing partners that offer guidance, expertise, and understanding—not just capital. These are the private equity, venture capital, and debt firms that have founders’ backs when it comes to accelerating growth,” added Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. Business Media.

To compile the list, Inc. went straight to the source: entrepreneurs who have sold to private equity and venture capital firms. Founders filled out a questionnaire about their experiences partnering with private equity, venture capital and debt firms, and shared data on how their companies have grown during these partnerships.
