Zurich North America Wins Award for “Digital Experience Champion” at Excellence in Insurance Innovation, Sponsored by Insurity

Insurity recognized Zurich North America for this award for successfully launching a major cloud migration of its legacy platform

Insurity, a leading provider of cloud-based software for insurance carriers, brokers, and MGAs, today announced that Zurich North America is the recipient of the “Digital Experience Champion” award at Excellence in Insurance Innovation for its success in launching a cloud migration from its legacy systems. The Excellence in Insurance Innovation awards ceremony took place in Las Vegas and recognized the outstanding performances of P&C organizations in categories including exceptional policyholder service, digital transformation, and excellence in data and analytics.

Zurich North America is part of Zurich Insurance Group, a leading multi-line insurer that serves its customers in global and local markets. Zurich North America is one of the largest providers of insurance solutions and services to businesses and individuals. With many servers and distinct integrations around its environment, a migration of a 15-year-old system to the cloud is a massive undertaking.

“It’s no small feat to go from a data center-hosted environment to the cloud, but we worked closely with the Insurity team to see what a successful upgrade would look like,” said Eric Sellenberg, Technical Director at Zurich North America. “With a migration of this size and scope, security is of critical importance and being able to shift the security requirement for these systems to Insurity allows our teams to focus on the work at hand. The whole process of moving to the cloud and a new user interface with Insurity has resulted in nothing but positive outcomes for Zurich.”

“Creating a digital-first culture is vital to the long-term success of any P&C organization,” said Sylvester Mathis, Chief Insurance Officer at Insurity. “Zurich North America recognized the need to take advantage of the latest cloud technologies to create a seamless digital experience for their stakeholders. They worked diligently to ensure migration to the cloud aligned with their overall IT strategy.”
