UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / October 23, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Kimberly Prescott as a Top Professional, acknowledging her expertise in interior design. With 25 years of experience in her field, Ms. Prescott helps her clients to create meaningful spaces reflective of their brand identity, purpose and lifestyle needs. In doing so, she continues to develop high-impact projects across a wide range of commercial and residential sectors, including corporate, health care and kitchen and bath settings.

Early Education and Career in Design
Ms. Prescott began her career with an education, earning a bachelor's degree in interior design with a minor in general business from the University of Arkansas in 2001. Following this, she joined Kitchens by Laing as an interior designer. Having gained foundational experience, she transitioned to work as an interior designer at The Wilcox Group Architects in 2004.After two years at The Wilcox Group, Ms. Prescott became a registered interior designer with the firm. Within the year, she was promoted to associate and director of interiors. The firm merged with Polk Stanley Roland Curzon Porter Architects in 2009 after a series of joint venture projects for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. The firm was named Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects. Her work at Polk Stanley Wilcox culminated in her appointment to associate principal and director of interiors, a role she occupied from 2014 to 2015. She was the first female and interior designer to be named associate principal at this firm - a highlight of her career at this point in time.
Ms. Prescott credits The Wilcox Group and Polk Stanley Wilcox with much of her growth as an interior designer, recognizing how much more she was able to achieve in Little Rock than in a metropolitan area. With the company, she was able to make significant strides in her career, something she does not take for granted as she continues forward.
Work at Arkansas Children's Inc.
After concluding her work at Polk Stanley Wilcox, Ms. Prescott joined Arkansas Children's Hospital as a facilities planner. Within two years, the hospital became a system, and she became the design manager for the newly named Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) department, a role she held for the next four years. In 2021, she was again promoted to manager of facilities design and planning and supported the system during the worldwide pandemic. It was during this period that she completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was named outstanding graduate student for MBA in 2021. She utilized her experience and knowledge to help the department evolve from a hospital facilities team to a system-wide PDC team, and hired two interior designers to support the organization during a long-term, system-wide master facilities expansion.
Ms. Prescott considers her most notable career achievement to be her work on large-scale projects at Arkansas Children's Inc., including the addition of a hospital in Northwest Arkansas, five new outbound clinics, a new opioid research facility, master facilities addition and expansion at both hospitals, and numerous interior renovations. These projects have been valued at hundreds of millions of dollars and have contributed to improved patient outcomes and employee engagement - a rewarding experience for her.
Civic and Membership Involvement
Outside of her professional career, Ms. Prescott is an active participant in several civic and membership organizations. Notably, she is a long-standing member of the American Society of Interior Designers, where she has served in roles at the local, chapter and national level. She currently serves on the national committee for environmental health and wellness, working with others in the development of resources, tools and best practices that better support human health. In her personal life, she enjoys visual arts, singing in her church, entertaining family and friends, and spending time with her husband of nearly 20 years and two teenage daughters.
Building Studio KBP
Today, Ms. Prescott serves as owner and principal designer at Studio KBP. In this role, she collaborates directly with clients and consults with architects and contractors to design curated spaces for life and work. Relying on her experience, leadership skills, unique understanding of design and visual consistency, she elevates milestone celebrations and comprehensive design work alike.
Though Ms. Prescott acknowledges that designers are often underestimated for their contributions, her current work reflects a dedication to changing narratives and supporting other specializations in her field. Ms. Prescott supports the belief that good design is collaborative and does not have to be expensive. Her goal is to grow her practice to a variety of services for professional interior design, consulting, curated packages, and creative services to meet a diverse range of clients' needs.
