The Mad Hatter Holiday Festival attracts thousands of people to the historic downtown district of Vallejo with its creative lighted and fire shooting Wonderland recreations that turns the city into a fantasy world for children and adults alike.
VALLEJO, CA, November 14, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This year's added Hatter attractions will be the Queen's Court that hosts costume contests and a line-up of designated Queens for Wonderland, live music, dancing groups plus holiday vendors that will be nearby the lighted inflatable Unicorn Park. In the Festival Plaza there will be more holiday craft vendors, an array of popular food trucks from around the Bay Area, live music will be ongoing from 1:00 PM till 8:00 PM.
On display will be giant flaming feathers encircling an area for some fantastic once in a life-time photo opportunity. The flaming feathers is the creation of the Flaming Lotus Girls, award winning Burning Man recipients. SOMA another Flaming Lotus Girls sculpture created once for the Burning Man Festival and displayed for two years on San Francisco's Pier 40 will be displayed in the Plaza as well. It is made of stainless steel occupying a space of about 40 feet by 25 feet it is an interactive multi-moveable lighted sculpture.
The Grand Marshal this year is LaRussell, rapper and hip-hop artist. An entrepreneur who creates art with vivid story telling. A community leader and pioneer in making change within the hip-hop industry. He will be performing the Friday before the event, usually selling out his concerts, at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
The Mad Hatter Holiday Festival, Parade & Tree Lighting is held Saturday, December 7, 2024, the week after on Sunday, December 15, 2024, will be the Grand Victorian Homes Tour.
Wonderland Festival activities begin at 1:00 PM with the Queen's Court. Festival activities in the Plaza start at 2:00 PM with live music, craft vendors, food trucks and children's activities.
Mad Hatter Holiday Parade starts at 4:30 PM
Tree Lighting Program starts at 6:00 PM
Lighted Boat Parade starts at 6:30 PM
