On March 31, 2008, Anders Olsson, Senior Vice President, Engineering of Finisar Corporation’s
Optics Division, announced that he would be leaving Finisar, effective April 11, 2008 to pursue an
opportunity with a pre-public company in the solar energy industry. Mr. Olsson’s responsibilities
will be absorbed by existing members of the Optics Division engineering management team.
