ITEM 9. REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
On July 22, 2002, United Auto Group, Inc. issued a press release announcing
that it has acquired a BMW franchise in Austin, Texas. The dealership, formerly
John Roberts BMW of Austin, will be renamed BMW of Austin. A copy of the press
release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
