Roland W. Burris has resigned as a member of the board of directors of Inland Real Estate Corporation effective January 15, 2009 to focus on his duties as the recently appointed junior senator from the State of Illinois and to comply with federal law and the rules of the United States Senate regarding the service of senators on corporate boards.  A press release regarding the resignation is attached to this report on Form 8-K as exhibit 99.1.
