(b) On March 17, 2016, Paul D. Lapides informed Sun Communities, Inc. (the “Company”) that he will not be standing for reelection at the Company’s 2016 Annual Meeting of the Stockholders.
Mr. Lapides has served as director of the Company for 23 years since the Company’s initial public offering in 1993. Mr. Lapides advised the Company that he has decided not to stand for reelection in order to focus on recovering from recent health issues and his decision was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
On March 22, 2016, the Company issued a press release relating to Mr. Lapides’ decision not to stand for reelection. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.
