Sony Corporation Statement regarding Media Reports dated August 30, 2011

 
TOKYO, August 30, 2011----Certain media reports were published on August 30, 2011 about a possible transaction between Sony Corporation (“Sony”), the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, Toshiba Corporation and Hitachi, Ltd. regarding the companies’ small- and medium-sized LCD panel businesses.  Sony has made no announcement in this regard and has no comment.
