On June 28, 2007 the Board of Directors of Golden Telecom, Inc. (the "Company") authorized a stock repurchase program pursuant to which the Company is authorized, until June 28, 2008, to purchase up to one million shares of the Company's common stock in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions from time to time. A copy of the press release announcing the stock repurchase program is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
