On January 25, 2006, Bottomline Technologies (de), Inc. (the “Company”) announced, as part of its second quarter earnings call, its acquisition of a patent which addresses the process of online budgeting and evaluation of legal invoices. The Company issued a press release in respect of this patent acquisition on January 26, 2006.
