Tokyo, December 13, 2004—Since this past weekend, certain media have covered reports concerning the transfer of corporate loan business of the trust bank in conjunction with the management integration of Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group, Inc. (MTFG) and UFJ Holdings, Inc. (UFJ). However, there is no decision made concerning the transfer of corporate loan business of the trust bank at this time.

Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group, Inc. (“MTFG”) may file a registration statement on Form F-4 (“Form F-4”) with the U.S. SEC in connection with the proposed management integration of UFJ Holdings, Inc. (“UFJ”) with MTFG. The Form F-4 (if filed) will contain a prospectus and other documents.
