Item 8.01.  Other Events.
 
On June 27, 2008, GreenMan Technologies, Inc. (the “Registrant”) issued a press release to announce that its inactive GreenMan Technologies of Georgia, Inc. subsidiary has filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Georgia. The text of such press release, which is attached as an exhibit to this Current Report, is incorporated by reference in this Item 8.01.
