BANCOLOMBIA ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF THE SALE OF ASESUISA IN EL SALVADOR

 

Medellin, Colombia, September 27, 2012

 

Today, after obtaining all of the authorizations required by the authorities of Colombia and El Salvador, Banagrícola S.A. and Inversiones Financieras Banco Agrícola S.A., subsidiaries of Bancolombia S.A., transferred to Seguros Suramericana S.A., a Panamanian company linked to Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana, 97.03% of its shares of capital stock of Asesuisa, an insurance company in the Republic of El Salvador.

 

The total amount received by Banagrícola S.A. and Inversiones Financieras Banco Agrícola S.A. was USD 97,999,867.

 

This transaction was completed pursuant to the Purchase and Sale contract entered into in 2011.
