Peace Arch Extends Licensing Agreement with Genius Products to Distribute Additional Films in Lucrative U.S. Market

Genius Home Entertainment Division to Distribute Company’s Two New Films through Network of Retailers

TORONTO – October 13, 2006 - Peace Arch Entertainment® (AMEX:PAE - News) (TSX:PAE.TO - News), announced today that it has licensed two additional feature films from its Archetype Films division to Genius Products, Inc., one of the leading home entertainment distributors in the United States. The new agreement increases to nine the number of titles that Genius will distribute for Peace Arch in the U.S. home entertainment market.

The two new films are "Bottom Feeder" starring Tom Sizemore ("Black Hawk Down," "Pearl Harbor," "Heat"), a Screen Actors Guild Award-nominee for his work in "Saving Private Ryan" and Golden Globe Award-nominee for his role in "Witness Protection,” and “The Mad” starring Billy Zane ("Vlad," "Tombstone," "The Phantom"), who was nominated by the Screen Actors Guild and MTV Movie Awards for his work in "Titanic."  Both films have been pre-sold to distributors in Canada, England, Spain, Brazil and Portugal, and will be introduced to worldwide markets at the upcoming MIPCOM in October and American Film Market in November.

Under an agreement entered into in May 2006, Peace Arch engaged Genius as its US home entertainment distributor for a slate of five pictures from its Archetype Films division, which specializes in the horror, science fiction and action genres.  The agreement has now been extended twice, adding four additional titles including “Bottom Feeder” and “The Mad”.  The first picture in the package, “The Last Sect” starring David Carradine, was released by Genius on DVD on September 12, 2006.

Other recent Archetype Films include "Living Death," starring Kristi Swanson; "Dead Mary" starring Dominique Swain; "U.K.M.: The Ultimate Killing Machine" starring Michael Madsen; "Troubled Waters" starring Jennifer Beals; "5ive Girls" starring Ron Perlman; "Heartstopper" starring Robert Englund; and "Warriors of Terra" starring Edward Furlong.
