On May 2, 2011, AGL Resources, Inc. made the following communication to SNL Financial ("SNL"), in response to SNL's request for a comment on recent testimony given by the staff of the Illinois Commerce Commission ("ICC").
AGL Resources and Nicor believe that the combined company will serve customers better and more efficiently through the benefits of our greater scale and scope and as we share best practices.
We are evaluating the ICC Staff testimony. This is another step in the merger regulatory process. We are planning to file our rebuttal to this testimony in the near future.
